The TP-Link TL-WR1512 is a compact Wi-Fi 6 travel router that enables fast and flexible Internet connections on the go. With dual-band speeds of up to 1.5 Gbit/s (1201 Mbit/s on 5 GHz and 300 Mbit/s on 2.4 GHz), it is suitable for streaming, video calls or online gaming, although actual performance may depend on internet connection, device and environment. Two gigabit ports ensure stable wired connections to devices such as smart TVs, game consoles or NAS. Thanks to multiple operating modes - including router, USB tethering, 3G/4G USB modem, hotspot, access point, range extender and client - the router can be used flexibly in various network scenarios, such as in a hotel, at home or when traveling. External storage media can also be connected via the USB port and files can be shared on the network. With support for OpenVPN and WireGuard®, Roam 6 enables an encrypted Internet connection for increased privacy, although certain features may require configuration or compatible devices. Power is supplied via a USB-C port and can optionally be used with a compatible PD/QC power bank, as the device itself does not have an integrated battery.
