Its 3.5 mm output automatically detects which device you have plugged in (camera or smartphone) and activates the corresponding adjustment—no more cable clutter from adapter cables!
Additionally, there’s a new handy signal peak warning light, so you can always be sure that your audio signal is not being overdriven or limited. The VideoMic NTG is much more than just a camera-mounted microphone. The VideoMic NTG is officially MFI certified (Made for iPhone, iPad & iPod). To connect your VideoMic NTG to Lightning-equipped iOS devices, you will need the SC15 or SC19 cable.
