Beneath the Trees - Where No One Sees: Vol. 1

HOME IS WHERE THE HEART STOPS BEATING. Kill. The locals. Don’t. This is the most important rule for Samantha Strong, a lovable brown bear leading a double life as a serial killer in a small town. After all, just behind the woods, in the nearby big city, there are numerous potential victims. And anyone like Sam, who has worked hard to build a comfortable life and a thriving business in a community like Woodbrook, a small paradise full of friendly animals, certainly doesn’t want to disturb the peace. One can imagine Sam's rage when a resident of Woodbrook dies under cruel and mysterious circumstances – seemingly at the hands of a serial killer. It’s hardly surprising that she takes up the hunt for her rival before the victim count rises… and Sheriff Patterson searches for clues in places he doesn’t belong. The gripping debut of emerging author Patrick Horvath: a disturbing and dark crime story that finally presents talking animals in a whole new light.
